Steel grey feathers coat her front, with a distinct metallic sheen and a slight blue tint in certain lights. The fur on her hindquaters is a paler, lighter bluish-grey, speckled with white spots like those of a Cheetah across her flanks and down her tail, although they are hard to see against the pale base. Her claws and beak are white, and her eyes are a brilliant, gleaming sky blue.
Physically speaking, Solstice is a little small for her age, looking somewhat younger than her actual number of seasons. This, coupled with her soft, delicate features and extremely lithe, agile form, makes her exceptionally beutiful...what many Griffins would consider 'stunning'. Her slight nature means she has little physical strength, but she is built for speed, and is blindingly fast both on land and in the air. |
| Personality |
Very friendly and outgoing, Solstice is exceptionally gifted at understanding others and empathy, and her caring nature makes her anxious to help people. She can be a little too full of energy at times, and often takes things a little too personally, a combination that occasionally leads her to her being overly dramatic and upset, however her happy-go-lucky nature often averts this. |
| Biography |
Solstice was the eldest in a large brood, born into the Moorlands pride during a particularly harsh winter when snow was thick and food was scarce. Her parents were forced to both go hunting together to find enough food to live on, and one night while they were away they got caught in a harsh blizzard and were unable to return home. Solstice's siblings began to panic, but she herself rose to the occasion by calming them down and looking after them during their parent's absence. The blizzard lasted for almost four days, but thanks to her careful ministerings, all of her siblings survived until their parents returned to look after them again.
From that point on, caring for people, especially children, was in her blood. Finding great fulfilment in caring for her siblings, stamped even deeper by their coming to look upon her as a second mother to them after the incident, she requested permission to become a Daycare Helper as soon as she was old enough, and quickly made a name for herself in the duty. Her real dream, however, is to have a family of her own to care for, and now she is very close to mating age, she is anxious to try and fulfil that dream. |
