Sekt is an extremely large and robust Griffin, very tall and with a muscular frame and wide shoulders. His appearence is marred, however, by being exceptionally thin...unhealthily thin it would seem, as his bones are clearly visible beneath his skin, which is stretched over his large frame like it is too small for it. Were it not for this fact, he would actually be quite impressive and hansome.
His colouring is a light, grassy yellow, with black tiger stripes all over his torso, neck, upper arms and upper legs. He also has a very prominent black stripe running up the back of his neck and over his head, splitting up on his forehead into four, two running down the outside of his eyes, and two running between his eyes and down either side of his beak. His eyes are a sandy yellow, similar to his base feather color. |
| Personality |
A very quiet character, he is the strong and silent type, and could also be described as a gentle giant. He is very in-tune to others feelings, cares deeply for everyone, and is always very respectful and kind.
He suffers, however, from a very strong self-loathing, brought on by his emaciated state. Believing himself some kind of monster, he feels that nobody should be forced to look upon his grotesque appearence, and because of this he has become a loner, setting up his cave far away from the rest of the Pride and rarely socialising with anybody...not for himself, but for the sake of everyone else, so that they won't have to put up with his presence. He dearly wishes he could have company and friendship, but pushes everyone away whenever they get close, on the grounds that they deserve better than to have his terrible existance as a blight on their life. |
| Biography |
Sekt's emaciated nature is due to a rare disease that stops him putting on any weight. The disease is not contagious, and does not affect his muscles, meaning that he still has considerable strength despite his nature, but his lack of insulation makes him extremely suceptable to heat, cold and injury. Other than that, the disease has no real effects, so he is not 'ill' as some would consider it, for example being confined to his cave with sickness. |
